Mrs. Lacey Felker -Kindergarten/Junior Kindergarten: Mrs. Felker is a gifted, peaceful, and skilled educator. Her classroom is well-ordered and her students excel in their subjects. Mrs. Felker encourages her students to be caring, enthusiastic, and inquisitive learners. One of her favorite parts about teaching kindergarten aged children is watching her students’ love of learning develop and their excitement about the world that God has created. Mrs. Felker has her elementary education degree from Fort Hays State University in Kansas. She has taught four years of Kindergarten, as well as preschool. Mrs. Felker and her husband, Kurt, have been married for 15 years have four boys. They are parishioners at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church.
Ms Courtney Mullin - Phonics and Science Teacher: Ms. Mullin is a skilled Phonics and Science teacher. She has an engaging teaching style that helps her students develop a love and excitement for their subject! She spent several years on the East Coast working with struggling readers K-8, with incredible results. She is trained in the Diane Craft reading strategies for Right-Brain/Left-Brain integration therapy which helps both struggling and normal readers. She holds a Colorado State teaching license and is certified for K-6 Elementary Education and 7-12 English/Language Arts. She holds a Bachelor's degree in English, from Governors State University, and is currently working towards a Master's in Education and Human Learning, at the University of Colorado Denver. She values connections with her students and teaching to the whole-child.
Mrs. Tschetter—Fourth & Fifth Grades: Mrs. Tschetter attended Northern Colorado University where she received her degree as a double major in Political Science and History. She has a master’s degree in Education with a thesis in Curriculum Development & TESOL Certificate from University of Phoenix. She previously had a teaching license for K-8. She has been homeschooling her children also for many years. Her subject expertise is Writing, Grammar and History, and her passion is Classical Education. Teaching skills that she is known for include exciting experiments, classical conversations, Bible & history knowledge, and incredibly creative classroom projects.
Mrs. Lungren—First & Second Grade Phonics: Mrs. Lungren has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in English as a Second Language from Southern Utah University. She also studied for her Math Certification and has completed post-undergraduate classes to teach math K-8 in Utah and Iowa. She has her teaching license in Utah, South Dakota, and Iowa for K-8. Her subject expertise and teaching passion is Math and Grammar. Her teaching expertise include organization, patience, enrichment games, and parent communication.
Mrs. Struthers—Spanish Immersion: Mrs. Struthers went to school at Miami University of Ohio where she studied Creative Writing and Spanish. She has a master's degree in Elementary Education from Trinity College in Washington. She has a current elementary education teaching license for Grades K-8th. Mrs. Struthers had an 11-year history of bilingual education. Her passion is to make language learning fun and meaningful. Her teaching expertise include engaging lessons, activities, songs and movement in the classroom, and an effervescent attitude.
Miss Sara—Preschool: Miss Sarah has a degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Northern Colorado. She currently has a license for birth—3rd grade and her subject expertise is young children. Her passion in teaching is teaching young children to be creative and unique in the way that God made them to be using a Montessori teaching approach. Teaching skills that she is known for include patience, time management, organization skills, and hands-on teaching.
